You could never get enough of the attentive fire that each night would
ignite your heart
They came from miles around to touch you
But only one stood apart.

She had faithful eyes, an adoring smile, and a body of which peasants
dreamed
You became aware of her love
And you knew that in you she would never fail to believe.

You were the lonely crusader in her nomadic world of steel
But it was this daring savior of the night of your life
Who at long last felt your weal.

Many nights you spent with her beneath the moon,
As your secret affair took flight
And no one but the stars knew of the sacred words exchanged
Between you during those nights.

Words could never have defined the affect she had on your soul
Within the sweat stained elation of those nights
But alas even the best of intentions eventually take their toll.

The magic has all since ended and away from you she has been sent
And the motion of your dance has long since been stripped away,
And her sweet ecstasy you’ve long ago spent.

Many nights prior to this you lay with her beneath the moon
As the web of this affair took flight
And no one but the stars knew of the sacred words exchanged
Between the traitors of the night.
